PURPOSE: To prevent air leakage, and to improve pumping function by providing a water channel for recycling high pressure sealed water in the outer peripheral area of a pump chamber between both side surfaces of the pump chamber and both side surfaces of an impeller rotated in the pump chamber.
CONSTITUTION: When an impeller 6 is rotated eccentrically by a motor, the water in a pump chamber 3 flows among the inner circumferential wall of the pump chamber 3, and is circulated in an annular form, and a crescent-shaped space part sandwiched between the blade or the impeller 6 and the water surface is expanded or contracted in order, and air is taken in and discharged thereby. A water channel 2c communicating into the pump chamber 3 as well as to the space 2b is provided on a motor side casing 2 of a water sealing vacuum pump P. The sealed water in the space 2b is guided into a stop hole 1a formed on a casing 1 in the reverse side of the motor, through a plurality of water channeling holes formed on a boss part of the impeller 6 in a penetrated form, and the water is fed to a gap between the side surface or the impeller 6 and the side surface or the pump chamber, and air leakage is thus prevented.
