PURPOSE: To raise the workability and durability of a water shielding work by a method in which a base cloth is laid on the place where a water shielding work is to be constructed while interposing a curable liquid for water shielding between the base cloth and the constructing place, and when plural base clothes are needed, they are partly lapped with each other and laid.
CONSTITUTION: A roll 3 wound with a base cloth 4 is tumbled down from above to below along the place 2 where a water shielding work is to be constructed. A curable water-shielding liquid 5 composed of a principal agent containing asphalt and liquid diene polymer with active hydrogen groups and a liquid hardener of an isocyanate compound, etc. is sprayed onto the periphery of the roll 3. While the roll 3 is turned, and the liquid 5 is sprayed by a spray gun 7. As the roll 3 is turned, the liquid 5 is interposed between the place 2 and the cloth 4 to form a curable water shielding liquid layer 6 in order, and the cloth 4 is fixed to the place 2. When plural base clothes 4 are used, those 4 already laid are laid in a mutually partly lapping manner.
