Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water softener, capable of preventing reduction of a salt dissolution rate in a salt water tank of the water softener, and reproducing the water softener by salt water having high concentration.SOLUTION: The water softener is configured to conduct raw water to an ion exchange resin layer for taking a hardness component in the raw water in the ion exchange resin layer, for collecting soft water. The water softener comprises a salt water tank 1 for storing salt water for reproducing the ion exchange resin, in which salt 4 and water are put into the salt water tank 1 for producing salt water in the salt water tank 1. A bottom part of the salt water tank 1 contains a water flow possible article having many gaps on a surface and inner part thereof. The water flow possible article is configured so that a ratio of gaps provided on the surface and inner part thereof is larger than a ratio of gaps generated in a grain layer when grains whose grain diameter is 2 mm are deposited. For example, the article is formed of a layer of clastic materials whose average grain diameter is larger than 2 mm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
