Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water softening apparatus capable of extending exchanging cycles of ion exchange resins.SOLUTION: The provided water softening apparatus includes, for the purpose of executing an antioxidant operation of preventing the oxidation of a cation exchange resin, a reducing liquid tank capable of stocking a reductant solution, a connection flow channel linking the reducing liquid tank and a water softening tank, and a pump configured on the connection flow channel. The antioxidant operation is executed by assuming, as one condition, that a water softening operation is not being executed, whereas a state where the cation exchange resin within the water softening tank is immersed within the reductant solution can be realized by introducing, into the water softening tank, the reductant solution within the reducing liquid tank.
