Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL: A compound represented by the formula: D-N=N-K {wherein D is a group represented by formula I [wherein Y is vinyl, -CH2CH2X (wherein X is a substituent which can be eliminated under the formation of a vinyl group with an alkali); R is H, NO2, a 1-4C alkyl, a 1-4C alkoxyl, carboxyl, hydroxyl or a halogen]; and K is a residue of a water-soluble coupling component capable of coupling once or twice and may contain at least one fiber-reactive group in addition to a common substituent}.
EXAMPLE: A compound of formula II.
USE: A water-soluble reactive dye.
PREPARATION: A compound of formula III is diazotized, and the product is coupled with 6-sulfo-2-acetylamino-8-naphthol.
