Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-soluble yellow pigment (compound) that is high in solubility in water and excellent in various fastness such as water resistance, moisture resistance, ozone gas resistance, abrasion resistance and light resistance, especially excellent in color development (print density) and chroma, and a yellow ink composition for various recordings, especially inkjet recording, containing the same, and a colored body colored by the ink composition.SOLUTION: This invention provides a water-soluble azo compound represented by a structure in which a diazo compound having amino groups represented by the following formula and cyanuric chloride are reacted with each other, so that all chlorine atoms in the cyanuric chloride are replaced with the amino groups of the diazo compound, or salt thereof, where B represents a halogen atom.
