Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a water-soluble polyvinyl alcohol film for packaging an alkaline substance, which is improved in water-solubility and biodegradability, practical physical properties such as strength and stiffness, not degrading with time in packing an alkaline substance. SOLUTION: The water-soluble film is formed of a modified polyvinyl alcohol having a degree of saponification of 82-99.5 mol%, and containing 1-10 mol% of a N-vinylamide monomer unit in a molecule.
