Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the subject compsn. which exhibits excellent anticorrosive properties in working a metal irrespective of whether the metal is ferrous or nonferrous.
CONSTITUTION: This lubricant compsn. contains a salt of 3-hydroxy-2-naphthoic acid and/or a salt of 1-hydroxy-2-naphthoic acid. At least one of the two salts is contained in the compsn. in an amt. of 0.1-70 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. the compsn. Examples of a base component for preparing the compsn. are triethanolamine and monoethanolamine.
