Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-soluble lubricant for warm or hot plastic forming, having excellent lubricity to reduce the friction between a mold and a forming object and waste water disposal easiness and giving good working environment.
SOLUTION: The water-soluble lubricant for warm or hot plastic forming contains 1-70 mass% (based on 100 mass% water-soluble lubricant) sodium salt of an imidated isobutylene-maleic anhydride copolymer having an imidation ratio of 1-80 mol% and a weight-average molecular weight of 1,000-1,000,000 and produced by imidating a part of a copolymer of maleic anhydride and isobutadiene.
