Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a water-soluble oil for the cutting and grinding of a cemented carbide, containing respective specific amine and ethylene oxide adduct of propylenediamine, effective for suppressing the dissolution of cobalt from the carbide and having improved grinding efficiency and workability.
CONSTITUTION: This water-soluble oil contains (A) preferably 2-50wt.% (based on the total amount of the water-soluble oil for the cutting and grinding of cemented carbide) of one or more amines selected from the amine of formulas I to IV (R1 and R2 are each a 1-4C alkyl; R3 is ethylene or propylene; R4 is propylene or butylene; R5 and R6 are each H, hydroxyethyl or hydroxypropyl) and isopropanolamine and (B) preferably 0.05-30wt.% of one or more ethylene oxide adduct of proylenediamine expressed by formula V (R7 is a 2-22C alkyl or an alkenyl; (1), (m) and (n) are each 0 or a positive integer; 1+m+n is 1-15).
