This water stop structure A is configured so that a through hole 11 formed in a structure 1 is sealed with a sealing member 2, wherein the sealing member 2 includes an independent bubble foaming rubber sheet 21 and a reinforcing member 22 stacked on the independent bubble foaming rubber sheet 21, the independent bubble foaming rubber sheet 21 is closely contact with an opening end surface of the through hole 11 of the structure 1 in a pressurized state, the independent bubble foaming rubber sheet 21 has high compression elasticity and a strong repulsive stress, accordingly the sealing member 2 firmly closely contacts the opening end surface of the through hole 11 of the structure 1 to unfailingly seal the through hole 11 of the structure 1. Thus, the water stop structure A has excellent waterproofness and can unfailingly maintain the high waterproofness even under strong water pressure.
