Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water storage structure capable of cooling a surface by efficiently utilizing stored water while reducing water overflow and moderately discharging water when the quantity of supplied water is large.SOLUTION: A water storage structure includes: an impermeable layer 3 scarcely permeated by water; a water retentive layer 2 arranged on the impermeable layer and capable of retaining liquid; a pavement layer 1 arranged on the water retentive layer and constituted of a structure using a pavement material; a drain function part 4 extending from an underside of the impermeable layer so as to penetrate through the impermeable layer, with the top face thereof arranged in a position above an underside of the impermeable layer and below the top face of the pavement layer, and constituted of a soil of which water intrusion pressure is lower than that of the impermeable layer; and a side wall part 6 covering whole circumference of the drain function part and constituted of the impermeable layer or hydrophobic particles. The difference between the water intrusion pressure of the impermeable layer and the water intrusion pressure of the drain function part is larger than the difference between the height of the top face of the impermeable layer and the height of the top face of the drain function part.
