To provide a water storage tank by which water stored in the interior can be cooled in summer and heated in winter by sunlight energy.
A heat exchange plate is provided on the outer wall of a water storage tank 10 installed on the roof top R of a building B and covered with a heat insulating material, a heat pump unit 20 is provided side by side on the roof top R to be connected to a medium passage of the heat exchange plate in such a manner as to circulate a coolant, and a sunlight power generating unit 30 having plural power generating module plates 32 is provided on the upper part of the storage tank 10. The generated power of the sunlight power generating unit 30 is fed to the heat pump unit 20 to cool the stored water in the water storage tank 10 in summer and heat the same in winter.
