PURPOSE: To improve the flushing effect of a toilet by providing a direction- switching valve at the intersection portion between a water tank water supply pipe and a jet water pipe/water-overflow pipe for breaking or feeding water and controlling the amount of water from the bottom and edge of the toilet.

CONSTITUTION: A control device is composed by arranging a direction control valve 10 at the intersection site of a water tank water supply pipe 100 and a jet water pipe 100/a water-overflow pipe 110. Then, a rotary support shaft 12 is provided at the direction control valve 10, one end of a pull rod 13 is connected to it, and the other end is connected to a sub floating ball 15 that is loosely engaged to the outer periphery of the water-overflow water pipe via a lift chain 14. Then, the control valve 10 is constructed so that it is connected to only a jet water pipe 200 or only the water-overflow pipe 110, thus appropriately distributing the amount of water gushing out of the bottom of a toilet and the amount of jet water from the toilet edge and hence improving a flushing effect.
