To provide a low cost water supply system in which a water supply device have functions for specifying a pressure desired value, an initial time inverter frequency (a desired flow rate) and a required number of pumps and a useless operation power is saved.
There are provided setting means for setting parameters such as a flow rate desired value, a pressure desired value, a simultaneous opening or closing coefficients and rotational speed corresponding to them and the like required at load of each of the water supply devices, first communication means for transmitting an operation state of the water supply device, and second transmission means arranged at a control device. When a signal from the first communication means is received by the second communication means, the control device attains the maximum flow rate of load and the desired pressure value in which flow rate desired values of each of the water supply devices corresponding to the received signal are summed up, attains the number of pumps of which constant speeds are controlled in reference to the maximum flow rate of load and the maximum water supply amount of the pump and an amount of residual water and at the same time it calculates an initial speed of the pump corresponding to the amount of residual water, controls the prescribed number of pumps by a constant speed control and at the same time it performs a speed control of other pumps at the initial speed.
