Abstract:
To further improve the water-stopping performance of a hot-melt presealing material by imparting, to it, water-swellability without detriment to its elasticity capable of sufficiently following the warp or strain of an outer wall material.
This water-swellable hot-melt presealing material for a lap joint of an outer wall material 1 for a building contains 20-50wt.% thermoplastic elastomer, 5-40wt.% tackifier, 10-50wt.% plasticizer, and 5-35wt.% waters- wellable resin. The wall material 1 comprises an outer wall panel 2 an the water-sswellable hot-melt presealing material 3 applied to the panel 2.
