To reduce component cost, eliminate an insulation cap, reduce product weight and eliminate a sealing process at the time of a mounting work by using a resin case, instead of a metallic case.
A heat sensitive element 11 is connected to external terminal boards 13a and 14b via signal takeout leads 12a and 12b covered with insulation tubes 13a and 13b. Furthermore, the heat sensitive element 11 has an opening at one end and a thread on the external surface thereof, and is housed in an injection molded resin case 16. A polyamide resin material is used for the resin case 16. Furthermore, the terminal boards 14a and 14b are molded as integral part of a connector part 17, so as to use forward ends as connection terminals, and the lower ends of the terminal boards 14a and 14b are coupled to and housed in the resin case 16. The cost of members can be reduced via the drop of material cost and the improvement of a material yield by using the injection molded resin case 16 as aforementioned. Also, a sealing process for preventing a water leak can be eliminated at the time of mounting a sensor on vehicular equipment and housing equipment.
