To provide a water toy which can promote the development of the operating functions of the babies and the infants based on the voluntary motion of the finger tips and the hands by attracting their interests and prompting them to play doing the operations for the discharge of water or the like.

A toy is grippable by the babies and made floatable on the water surface and has at least more than one button parts which protrude from the body of the toy at the positions facing each other on the side part of the body of the toy and are displaceable in the direction of approaching each other. One of the button parts serves as the water discharge button which is linked to a pump part for the operation of discharging water and the other as the working button linked to the first working part on the body of the toy to operate the working of the first working part.
