PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent regeneration liquid from being left in a treatment container by returning a change-over valve apparatus to an original point after a cleaning process being implemented for a prescribed time even if the apparatus is passed through a regeneration process when the device is returned to the original point in resetting the device in a water treatment apparatus such as a hard water softening apparatus.
SOLUTION: In a water passage process, when a faucet is opened by a user, raw water in a raw water tank 5 flows into a resin cylinder 1 through a raw water line 8, a water supply pump 9 is driven by a signal indicating the presence of a water flow from a flow switch 10, and the raw water is passed as an ascending flow. When the flow switch 10 satisfied prescribed conditions, the cleaning process is implemented, and residual water in the resin cylinder 1 is discharged outside a system. In the water treatment apparatus, in a reset time when a change over valve apparatus VA is returned to an original point, the cleaning process is provided after the regeneration process, and when the apparatus VA is reset, the cleaning process is implemented for a prescribed time before the apparatus VA is positioned in the water passage process, and residual salt water in the resin cylinder is discharged in a short time through a drain line 18.
