PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow fiber membrane module which can carry out gas-cleaning of an entire hollow fiber membrane with a simple structure.SOLUTION: A hollow fiber membrane includes: a housing 16 for receiving raw water; a partitioning member 15 for partitioning an inside of the housing 16 into a lower space for receiving the raw water and an upper space for receiving treated water after the raw water is treated; cleaning gas supply ports 43, 51 for supplying gas in cleaning; a cleaning gas discharge port 49a which is arranged in a lower periphery of the partitioning member 15 and discharges gas from the lower space; a hollow fiber membrane element 14 which is inserted in an insertion hole formed on the partitioning member 15 and of which an upper end part is fixed so that a lower part is positioned in the lower space; and an adapter 52 which is inserted in an insertion hole 14a and is fixed by positioning the upper end part of the hollow fiber membrane element 14 on a lower side than the partitioning member 15.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
