Abstract:

To separate electrostatically charged impurities contained in raw water, using a simple mechanism.

In this water treatment system 30 constituted of a pair of electrodes 5, 6, a pair or more of heat-resistant separators 7-1, 7-2 provided in between the electrodes, heat-resistant spacers 8-1, 8-2, 8-3 for separating the pair or more of heat-resistant separators, and a treatment vessel 18 for storing the electrodes, the heat-resistant separators and the heat-resistant spacers, under the condition where those are brought into close contact each other, the raw water 1, containing the electrostatically charged impurities, is passed through a chamber formed of the heat-resistant spacers positioned in the central part and the heat-resistant separators adjacent to the heat-resistant spacers, under the condition where an electric field is formed, and the electrostatically charged impurities are separated toward electrode directions in accordance with respective polarity directions thereof by the electric field so as to purify the raw water.
