To provide a water treatment device which is disposed on a water purifier or the like and can switch the on/off of an operation state of automatic water ejection function in response to circumstances of a user or the like.
The water treatment device comprises: a water treatment means having a cartridge which stores a treatment agent for treating raw water therein; a water-feed pipe which feeds the raw water to the water treatment means; a water ejection pipe 42 which ejects treated water treated by the water treatment means; an opening and closing valve which opens and closes the water-feed pipe; a contact type switch 43 which switches water ejection and water stopping from the water ejection pipe 42 by manually controlling the opening and closing of the opening and closing valve; an automatic water ejection means which periodically and automatically ejects stagnant water stagnating in a cartridge through the water ejection pipe 42; and an on-and-off setting mechanism which turns the operation state of the automatic water ejection means on and off.
