To solve the problem with a reverse osmosis membrane used for the advanced treatment of sewage regeneration, seawater desalination, or the like, wherein the organic matter dissolved in water is adsorbed on the surface of the reverse osmosis membrane, which in turn decreases the amount of penetration of water and inhibits a stable operation, resulting in high frequency of exchanging reverse osmosis membrane modules.
An adsorption material 1 for absorbing the organic matter dissolved in the water, which is adsorbed on the reverse osmosis membrane, is transformed into fibrous matter for enlargement of the surface area, and installed in a flow passage before the reverse osmosis membrane 3. The water to be treated is made to flow in the longitudinal direction of fiber, so that the deterioration of flow rate of the water to be treated due to clogging hardly occurs even if the organic matter is adsorbed. Accordingly, the period for exchanging the adsorption fiber and recovery processing is lengthened, thereby lowering cost for operation.
