Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water treatment method where the water to be treated containing silica is treated with a reverse osmosis membrane, in which the generation of silica scale and the generation of slime can be suppressed while suppressing deterioration in the flux of the reverse osmosis membrane.SOLUTION: Provided is a water treatment method using a reverse osmosis membrane where the water to be treated containing silica is treated with a reverse osmosis membrane successively repeating: (1) a water sampling step where, retaining the pH of the concentrated water of a reverse osmosis membrane to below 6, water is passed through the reverse osmosis membrane to obtain permeable water and concentrated water; (2) a sterilization preparation step where the pH of the water to be treated is adjusted to 6 or more, and the water to be treated is passed through the reverse osmosis membrane; (3) a sterilization step where an oxidizer is added to the water to be treated, and the water to be treated is passed through the reverse osmosis membrane; and (4) a water sampling preparation step where the addition of the oxidizer to the water to be treated is stopped, and the water to be treated is passed through the reverse osmosis membrane.SELECTED DRAWING: None
