Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water treatment method in which a high salt removal rate and a large amount of permeated water can be kept even when hard water having very poor quality is treated.SOLUTION: The water treatment method includes: a softening process for producing soft water; a first regeneration process for regenerating the whole of a cation exchange resin bed 311; and a second regeneration process for regenerating a part of the cation exchange resin bed 311. In the second regeneration process, a regenerating solution having a 1-6 eq/L-R regeneration level is supplied to a hardness leak prevention bed 313. In the softening process, raw water having ≤150 mS/m electrical conductivity and ≤500 mg-CaCO/L total hardness is supplied. An RO membrane module 5b has a reverse osmosis membrane on the surface of which a negative-charged skin layer comprising crosslinked wholly aromatic polyamide is formed and which has a ≥1.5×10m-m-s-Pawater permeability coefficient when a sodium chloride aqueous solution having a 500 mg/L concentration, pH 7.0, and a 25°C temperature is supplied under 0.7 MPa operating pressure at a 15% recovery rate, and has a ≥99% salt removal rate.
