Abstract:
To provide improved water treatment suitable for the use in a reformer for a fuel cell.
Water represents an important resource in an aircraft. In modern aircraft, sufficient water is reserved in designated tanks that is regularly refilled by ground operators. One embodiment discloses a water treatment system for aircraft that makes it possible to treat a gray water/black water mixture accumulated on board of the aircraft during the operation and obtain water of sufficient quantity and quality for use in a downstream reformer. This means that the water circuit within the aircraft can be advantageously closed and costly water tanks are eliminated.
