To provide a water treatment system in which oil can be efficiently separated/recovered from oil-including water to be treated.
The water treatment system includes: at least one pretreatment apparatus of a solid removal pretreatment apparatus 3 for separating/removing the solid content contained in the water to be treated by means of gravity and a magnetic separation pretreatment apparatus 4, 41 or 42 for separating/removing the solid content contained in the water to be treated by means of a magnetic field; an oil removal apparatus 5 for bringing a magnetite-containing oil adsorbent into contact with the water to be treated, which has been treated in the pretreatment apparatus, to adsorb the oil content contained in the water to be treated on the oil adsorbent and separate the oil content; and adsorbent recovery apparatuses 6, 61, 62, 7 for separating/recovering the oil-adsorbed oil adsorbent from the water to be treated, which has been treated in the oil removal apparatus.
