Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water treatment system that suppresses deposition of silica-based scale and the occurrence of fouling and besides, can stably suppress deposition of calcium carbonate-based scale even when using hard water of poor quality.SOLUTION: A hard water softening device 3 includes a cation exchange resin bed and regenerating water supply means 4. A membrane separation device includes a RO membrane module 8, a booster pump 6, an inverter 7, a control part 10, temperature detecting means 5, and drain valves 11, 12, 13 capable of adjusting a flow rate of concentrated water to be discharged to the outside. The control part 10 (i) calculates an allowable concentration ratio of silica in the concentrated water based on a silica concentration in raw water or soft water obtained in advance and a silica solubility determined using a temperature detected by the temperature detecting means, (ii) calculates a discharge flow rate using the calculated allowable concentration ratio and a target flow rate of permeable water, and (iii) controls drain valves 11, 12, 13 so that an actual flow rate of the concentrated water agrees with the calculated flow rate thereof.
