To provide a water vapor smoke prevention apparatus which is relatively small in size, does not need a heating means, and demonstrates an excellent water vapor smoke prevention function.
The water vapor smoke prevention apparatus 7 has an airtight first chamber 11 for receiving a mixed gas G containing high temperature saturated water vapor, a gas-liquid contact apparatus 10 which is arranged in the first chamber 11 and makes the mixed gas G contact with water, and an airtight second chamber 12 which receives the mixed gas G passed through the gas-liquid contact apparatus 10, mixes the mixed gas G with outside air, and discharges the mixture outside. The gas-liquid contact apparatus 10 is fixed to a partition wall 14 separating the first and second chambers 11 and 12 from each other. The gas-liquid contact apparatus 10 has a water spray nozzle 18 and a water tank 19. A water supply pipe 16 connected to an external water supply source 15 is connected with the water spray nozzle 18, and a water supply pipe 17 is connected to the water tank 19.
