To provide a washing method, although being a water washing of animal fiber products, whose working efficiency of finishing is enhanced to the same level as that of dry cleaning, washing is complete, and deformation, wrinkle, and shrinkage is prevented to be looked like new, and it is excellent in safety and economy of the work, and existing washing machines and dewaterers are applicable.

In this washing method of fiber products including an animal fiber, the fiber products are immersed in an aqueous solution in which at least a nonionic surfactant and/or an anionic surfactant and at least one of the fiber protecting agent selected from the group consisting of a lanolin derivative, a polycarboxylate, a polyacrylamide derivative, a polyoxyethylene derivative, a paraffin sulfonic acid derivative, etc., are dissolved, and after washing they are treated with a finishing agent contg. at least one kind of silicone selected from the group consisting of dimethyl silicone, an amino modified silicone, an epoxy modified silicone, and an polyether modified silicone.
