Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof connector which can suppress ununiformity in a compression state of an electric wire insertion hole on a mat seal caused by tilting of an electric wire so that watertightness can be ensured.SOLUTION: A waterproof connector comprises: a housing 13 having a seal housing part 33 which is provided consecutively to a terminal housing chamber 29; a mat seal 17 housed in the seal housing part 33; an electric wire 51 attached, at its end, with a terminal 27 which is housed in the terminal housing chamber 29; an electric wire lead-out part 23 which is provided consecutively on an electric wire lead-out side of an electric wire insertion hole 39 on the mat seal 17 and which has an opening width larger than that of an inner peripheral lip 45 of the electric wire insertion hole 39; and a pair of rib projections 25 which are protrudingly provided on an inner wall surface 63 of the electric wire lead-out part 23 and sandwich therebetween the electric wire 51 in such a manner that the electric wire 51 is positionally restricted to be in the center of the electric wire insertion hole 39.
