The waterproof housing 10, from which a lens barrel section 15 storing the photographic lens 5 of a camera 1 projects, includes: a light guide member 19 by which auxiliary light from the auxiliary light emitting device 3 of the camera is guided from the auxiliary light emitting device relative to the optical axis of the photographic lens to a position apart from the optical axis and thereby the auxiliary light is emitted from the waterproof housing; and a display area section 13a in which parts of the waterproof housing, which face the image display device 7 of the camera, are disposed in close contact with the image display device. At least the light guide member 19 or the display area section 13a is provided.
