Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enhance the force of a reinforcing member to hold a terminal and provide excellent water proofing in a waterproof plug comprising a rubber plug formed integrally with the reinforcing member by forming at the end of the strut portion of the reinforcing member a slant face which slants toward the wire through hole of a base.
CONSTITUTION: The waterproof plug A of a connector comprises a rubber plug 10 having an elliptical seal 10c formed on one of the outer peripheries of a tubular portion 10a the inside of which serves as a wire through hole 10b, the seal 10c being capable of making sealing contact with the inner wall of a connector housing; and rigid reinforcement 11 having strut portions 11c protrusively provided on both sides of an elliptical base 11a having a wire through hole 11b provided at the center thereof. At the end 11d of the strut 11c of the reinforcement 11 a gentle slant face 11e is formed which slants toward the wire through hole 11b from outside the end 11d. The rubber plug 10 is formed integrally with the reinforcement 11 and the strut 11c is enclosed within the elliptical seal 10c.
