Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent moisture from infiltrating from needle holes for sewing the hanging margin and improve the waterproofness of shoes by sticking a vamp cover material and the hanging margin of a moisture-permeable and waterproof film together with an adhesive.

CONSTITUTION: A vamp cover 1 used for an upper is a natural leather or an artificial leather, and a waterproof process is applied to it. A moisture-permeable and waterproof film 3, a sponge sheet 4, and a back material 5 are laminated for the material of waterproof shoes. A vamp cover material and an interior material are cut into the prescribed shapes, then they are sewn to form the upper. End faces of the vamp cover material and interior material are nearly aligned at a hanging margin end section 14 when sewing is finished, the vamp cover material is rolled up, and a waterproof adhesive 8 is applied and stuck at the width of about 1-2cm along the whole periphery of the hanging margin of the back face of the vamp cover material and the back face of the interior material. The vamp cover material and interior material are sewn together at the portion about 0.5-1cm from the end section along the hanging margin.
