Abstract:
To provide a waterproof structure of a regenerator which can protect a packing from dew condensation water.SOLUTION: A waterproof structure 1 of a regenerator includes: a regenerator 2 having a housing 20 having a first end surface 20a, a flue 21 having a combustion gas inflow port 21a which is open on the first end surface, and a flue tube 22 having a combustion gas outflow port 22b which is open on the first end surface; a smoke box which has a facing surface, is attached to the regenerator with the facing surface facing the first end surface, and guides combustion gas flowing out from the outflow port of the flue tube to the outside; a cylindrical partition wall 4 which is attached to the inflow port, protrudes to the facing surface, and partitions a passage of the combustion gas flowing toward the flue from the smoke box; an annular packing 5 which seals a space between an apical surface 42a of the partition wall and the facing surface; and a drip-proof member 6 which covers a side surface 40a at the base end side in the partition wall, is fixed to the housing with the partition wall, and guides dew condensation water, falling from the outflow port of the flue tube to the side surface of the partition wall, to the side of the partition wall.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
