To provide a waterproof structure having improved waterproofing performance.
The waterproof structure comprises a structure having a through-hole, a rod member arranged in the through-hole, and an annular seal member arranged between the opposed faces of the through-hole of the structure and the rod member and formed of an independent air-bubble foamed rubber. The air-bubble foamed rubber has high compression flexibility and strong resilient stress. Thus, the annular seal member is securely attached to the inner face of the through-hole of the structure and to the outer peripheral face of the rod member to reliably seal a clearance formed therebetween so that the waterproof structure has improved waterproofing performance and reliably maintains high waterproofing performance under strong water pressure.
