Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof structure and a waterproofing method that may be installed readily, save installation costs, and ensure sound waterproofing treatment.SOLUTION: A waterproof structure is provided for a structure 10. An outer surface 11b of a bottom wall 11 is waterproof-treated by a covering layer 14 that includes a waterproof sheet 17 covering a substrate 52. An outer surface 12b of a side wall 12 is waterproof-treated by a waterproof layer 15 formed by applying a liquid waterproof material containing a polyurethane resin. The waterproof layer 15 includes a main part 21 covering the outer surface 12b of the side wall 12, and an extension part 22 covering at least a part of a surface of the covering layer 14. The covering layer 14 has a reactive surface layer 19 formed on the surface at an area in contact with the extension part 22 of the waterproof layer 15, for enhancing adhesive strength with the waterproof layer 15. The reactive surface 19 includes a reactive material containing a functional group that reacts with at least one of the substances contained in the waterproof layer 15, namely isocyanate, polyol, and polyamine.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
