Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wave motion device capable of amplifying or damping a vertical generated power generated by vertical motions of waves by connecting rod levers, connecting it to an engine part from a floating body mechanism part, converting it into torque, and using it as a power source or the like. SOLUTION: This wave motion device using floating bodies comprises the engine part B converting vertical motions of the floating body mechanism part A into a rotational motion and a support mechanism C fixing a strut to a sea bottom and supporting the floating body mechanism part A and the engine part B. The floating body mechanism part A comprises the floating bodies 1 formed of a floatable material floating on a sea surface and shaped in a quadrangle with a semicircle resembling a boat form, a rectangular deck 4 fixing the floating bodies 1 on right and left sides and swingably journalled in a center via a bearing and a housing by a shaft 3 traversed between two main support mechanisms 2 fixed to the sea bottom, and two connecting rod levers fixed on the deck 4. The engine part B is composed of a driven transmission mechanism transmitting the vertical motions of the floating bodies 1.
