Abstract:
Provided is a wave power generation apparatus whereby power generating energy larger than control energy that drives a drive weight can be obtained by generating power using wave energy that has been efficiently absorbed by driving the drive weight. This wave power generation apparatus is provided with: a control unit (14), which drives, by means of feedback control based on acceleration of a floating body (1), a drive weight (2) in the direction in which oscillation of the floating body (1) is suppressed; and a power generator (15), which converts oscillating movement of the drive weight (2) into power generating energy. On the basis of a mass ratio between the floating body (1) and the drive weight (2), and an acceleration feed back gain obtained from the control unit (14), an attenuation coefficient of the power generator (15) is set such that the power generating energy is larger than the control energy that drives the drive weight (2) by means of the control unit (14).
