Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the volume of a high temperature substance contained between cooling panels to the maximum and raise cooling efficiency by improving a plate member constituting the cooling panels and attached to surround a hollow member used in a passage of a cooling medium, in the manufacture of the cooling panels to be installed a plurality of rows in a high thermal load instrument such as an in-furnace structure of a nuclear fusion reactor by employing a hot hydrostatic pressing process.
SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of the cooling panel a plurality of which are arranged in the in-furnace structure of the fusion reactor, a plurality of hollow tubes with a circular cross-section functioning as the cooling medium passage are arranged in parallel at a specified interval, the plate member integrally surrounding the whole periphery of the tubes is formed in a waveform by forming a plurality of grooves into which the semicircular circumference of the tubes are fitted in positions corresponding to the tubes. The tubes are sandwiched between the plate members vertically superposed one upon another to form a waveform cooling block. The butted faces of the plate members of and the plate member and the tube of the block are diffusion-joined by a hot hydrostatic pressing process.
