Abstract:
To provide a wavelength conversion member that has high luminance and high efficiency, and improved reliability.SOLUTION: A wavelength conversion member has: a fluorescent layer that has phosphor grains composed of nitride phosphor materials containing Si, and a binder composed of polycrystal oxide materials, some of the phosphor grains being exposed on at least one principal face; a first joint layer provided on the principal face of the fluorescent layer with some phosphor grains exposed thereon, the first joint layer composed of a specific metal oxide film; and a moth-eye structure joined to the fluorescent layer through the first joint layer, the moth-eye structure having an uneven shape. The first joint layer has a refractive index larger than that of the binder. The moth-eye structure has a refractive index larger than that of the first joint layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
