Abstract:
To provide a wavelength converter that can prevent reduction of a wavelength conversion efficiency caused by increase of fluorescence area where fluorescence is emitted.SOLUTION: The wavelength converter of the present invention includes: a wavelength conversion layer for converting the wavelength of excitation light; and an optical array layer made of a plurality of cells having a first surface, which light enters after being wavelength-converted by the wavelength conversion layer, and having a second surface, which emits light. The optical array layer has a reflection surface for reflecting light at the interface between cells adjacent to each other in the first surface and in the second surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
