Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combination wavelength plate that is constituted as a single component and reduces all of the temperature dependence, wavelength dependence, and incident angle dependence of the phase difference.SOLUTION: The wavelength plate is formed by combining a plurality of birefringent plates. The wavelength plate includes four or more types of birefringent materials, and a plurality of birefringent plates each of which is formed of one of the four or more types of birefringent materials are stacked and arranged so that the slow phase axes are perpendicular or parallel to each other. The thicknesses of the birefringent plates are set so as to adjust the phase difference of the wavelength plate to the same value in a plurality of wavelength/temperature conditions obtained by combining a plurality of wavelength conditions and a plurality of temperature conditions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
