Title:
WAVELENGTH SELECTIVE REFLECTING FILM AND HOLOGRAM RECORDING MEDIUM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2007121391
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a wavelength selective reflecting film that can selectively reflect/selectively transmit light at two wavelengths in a simple film structure and can be inexpensively manufactured, and to provide a hologram recording medium using the above wavelength selective reflecting film.

The wavelength selective reflecting film 10 has a structure in which two layers comprising a high refractive index layer 10H and a low refractive index layer 10L are repeatedly layered, and reflects light at a first wavelength and transmits light at a second wavelength. The film thickness (WH) of the high refractive index layer 10H expressed by a magnification with respect to a thickness equivalent to a quarter of the first wavelength (quarter optical wavelength thickness) is in a range from WH=2.0-WL-0.28×Δn to WH=2.0-WL+0.28×Δn, wherein WL represents the film thickness of the low refractive index layer 10L expressed by a magnification with respect to the above quarter optical wavelength thickness, Δn represents a difference in the refractive index between the high refractive index layer 10H and the low refractive index layer 10L.
