To obtain the subject composition consisting essentially of wax, an inorganic substance and a specific polyolefin, capable of being easily processed by the use of a convectional coating device, capable of exhibiting an excellent slip-preventing property, and useful for preventing plied water-resistant corrugated cardboard boxes from falling, etc.
This wax composition comprises (A) a wax such as a petroleum wax, a synthetic wax or an animal or vegetable wax (e.g. a wax having a melting point of 40-100°C), (B) an inorganic substance such as sodium sulfate, talc or titanium dioxide (e.g. an inorganic substance having a particle diameter of 1-1000μm), and (C) an oxidized polyolefin or an olefinic copolymer [e.g. oxidized polyethylene wax, an ethylene-(meth)acrylate copolymer] as essential components. The component A, B and C are preferably contained in the 50-98 pts.wt., 1-50 pts.wt. and 1-50 pts.wt., respectively, per 100 pts.wt. of the composition.
