To provide a wax excellent in abrasion resistance and flaw resistance while beneficial for human health, and a woody floor material using the wax.
This wax is obtained by mixing an aqueous resin-based wax and a tourmaline fine powder. This woody floor material is obtained by providing a surface protective layer 3 by applying this wax on the surface of a coated film layer 2 formed by applying a coating on a surface of a woody substrate 1. As a result, a negative ion is emitted from the tourmaline fine powder contained in the wax which contributes to human health. Moreover, as a result of providing the surface protective layer 3 by applying the wax on the surface of the coated film layer 2, the woody floor material excellent in abrasion resistance and flaw resistance is obtained from the surface active effect and the fractionation effect of water clusters.
