To provide a waxing device for a thread, capable of keeping the bonding quantity of wax to the thread constant regardless of a decrease in wax, and of restraining the useless consumption of the wax.
This waxing device 7 for a thread is disposed with wax 9 and a disc 10 as to hold a guide eye 5 between them, and the device is provided with a fixing means 14 holding the wax 9 at the presciribed position and a pressing means 15 pressing the disc 10 to the wax 9. Since the disc 10 is pressed to the wax 9 by the pressing means 15, the weight of the disc 10 located at the moving side does not change even if the wax 9 at the fixed side is consumed, the press loading of the pressing means does not fluctuated. This constitution thereby keeps the bonding quantity of the wax 9 to the thread constant regardless of a decrease in the wax 9, and also restrains the useless consumption of the wax 9.
