PURPOSE: To intercept a target in a short time by estimating at all times intercept future prediction positions concerning each gun and missile, and comparing them to automatically select a weapon.
CONSTITUTION: A target various dimension estimator 21 receives a turret attitude angle from an attitude detector 15 and a distance, orientation, and high/low angle of a target from a laser range finder 2 and an IR pick-up device 3 to estimate target various dimensions. A gun shooting various dimension estimator 22 and a missile shooting various dimension estimator 23 input them to estimate and output a weapon shooting angle required for target intercept and a future prediction position. A future prediction position comparator 24 inputs and compares a gun intercept future prediction position 30 and a missile intercept future prediction position 31 to output a weapon selection signal and hence control a shooting various dimension changeover unit 29. A weapon control signal generator 25 generates a shooting angle instruction signal based upon signals from the changeover unit 29 and the attitude detector 15. Thus, selection of a weapon and intercept of a target are achieved in a short time to reduce load of an operator.
