To provide a wear resistance member which is so formed as to contribute to the extreme extension of the life and period for relubrication of a joint part making contactual movement under and at high load and high speed and to have excellent wear resistance by forming rugged parts atop a base material, then forming a solid lubricant layer which itself has lubricity and has the excellent wear resistance and a process for producing the same.
The rugged parts are formed atop the base material, thereafter, the solid lubricant layer which itself has the lubricity and has the excellent wear resistance is formed thereon by a stage for forming the surface ruggedness on the surface of the base material by electrospark welding utilizing a welding device 15 having a vibrator 14 and a stage for applying the solid lubricant layer haing the wear resistance on these surface rugged parts. The life and period for relubrication of the joint part making contactual movement under and at the high load and the high speed are thereby extremely extended.
