Abstract:
To provide a wear resistant sintered tool which has high hardness, high strength, and high toughness, and is excellent in fusion resistance and wear resistance.
The wear resistant sintered tool is made of a sintered substance composed of hard particles containing carbide, nitride or carbonitride of elements belonging to IVa, Va or VIa group in the periodic table, and a binding metal comprising a ferrous metal as a main component. The content ratio of the hard particles to the binding metal is 85:15 to 96:4 or 70:30 to 90:10 in weight percentage. Further, the binding metal contains 0.01-0.5 wt.% boron.
